November 2019 Update

by | Nov 25, 2019

The last few weeks of 2019 are upon us! We hope you’re feeling less stressed and more in control of your life and your finances this season than you’ve ever felt before. If not, please know that you’re not alone and our cash flow planning team is here to help you navigate through one of the most financially trying seasons of the year.

Still working through your gift list and wondering what a financial planner might consider a worthwhile place to spend your carefully planned holiday budget? Wonder no more! The Spring Plans team has put together a list of worthy services, books, and finance boosters we would gift to each one of you, if our gift giving budgets allowed.

Should your budget not allow such extravagant spending, not to worry – there’s much to read that is free & available on the internet. Sandi’s list of Great Reads will leave you thoughtful and, quite possibly, organized. She’s also sharing her thoughts about the book Retirement Income for Life by Fred Vettese, which is incredibly useful for those of you within 5 years of retirement – provided you bring a few grains of salt around the cash flow discussion, and caution around low income retirement planning.

Since we’re on a roll with both retirement income planning and Sandi, she’s following up September’s Design Thinking article on retirement income, with part 2: Post-Retirement Income. Surprisingly, we don’t find a lot of information on how much planning must continue once you’re already in retirement. This useful article outlines how to wrap your mind around it, when to do it, and what questions you’re looking to answer.

We hope you enjoy reading about money nearly as much as we do – because you’ve got a lot to work with this month!
